Commonwealth Rent Assistance (CRA) is a payment paid to tenants who receive certain social security payments (in most cases, Newstart Allowance, Disability Support Pension or Age Pension) and who don’t live in public housing.

Energy Accounts Payment Assistance (EAPA) Vouchers

If you're having difficulty paying your current household energy bill because of a short-term financial crisis or emergency, such as unexpected medical bills, or reduced income due to COVID-19, you could be eligible for Energy Accounts Payment Assistance (EAPA) $50 vouchers.

No Interest Loan Scheme

The No Interest Loans Scheme (NILS) offers people on low incomes, safe and affordable access to credit.

The scheme provides up to $2,000 for essential goods and services including household items such as, furniture and whitegoods (stoves, fridges, washing machines), educational necessities such as computers and textbooks, some medical and dental services, car repairs, other items on request.

Service NSW - Energy Rebate

The Low Income Household Rebate helps low income NSW households cover the costs of their energy bills. It is paid once each financial year.

Isolated Patients Travel and Accommodation Assistance Scheme (IPTAAS)

NSW patients can claim financial assistance towards travel and accommodation costs if they need to travel more than 100km one way, or 200km in a week, for specialised medical treatment that is not available locally.

Brother to Brother

The Brother to Brother crisis line provides phone support for Aboriginal men who need someone to talk to about relationship issues, family violence, parenting, drug and alcohol issues or who are struggling to cope for other reasons.

The line is staffed by Aboriginal men, including Elders, who have a lived experience in the issues that the line offers support for.

1800RESPECT is Australia’s National Sexual Assault, Domestic and Family Violence Counselling Service.
