Murdi Paaki Regional Housing Corporation (MPRHC) is an Aboriginal community controlled company limited by guarantee and is a Tier 2 Community Housing Provider registered under the National Regulatory System for Community Housing.

Murdi Paaki Regional Housing Corporation Limited was established by the then Murdi Paaki (ATSIC) Regional Council in 1997 as a means to provide; a secure legal entity that could be used to transfer Aboriginal housing stock that was under threat of being sold off by administrators and liquidators.

Murdi Paaki currently owns 129 properties. As a Tier 2 provider registered with the New South Wales Aboriginal Housing Office we provide property management services in partnership, to 176 properties for the NSW Aboriginal Housing Office (AHO) and 17 properties under management agreements or sublease agreements between Aboriginal Corporations and Local Aboriginal Land Councils.

MPRHC implements consistent, fair and robust policies and program activities to achieve all legal requirements for social housing management and ensure tenants have appropriate and sensitive support to deal with issues that can occur in their tenancy.

Our vision is for spiritual, cultural, social and economic wellbeing for Aboriginal peoples that is supported by ready access to quality housing and services which respect community needs and promote independence.

Our Purpose

Consistent with the aspirations and directions of the Murdi Paaki Regional Assembly, we will design, deliver and develop safe and affordable housing and housing related services for Aboriginal peoples within the Murdi Paaki Region individually and in collaboration with other values aligned providers. We also work elsewhere where other opportunities exist and can be sustained.

Murdi Paaki Housing acknowledges our work is across many lands, we pay our respects to the traditional owners of these land and the elders, past, present and emerging.

Murdi Paaki works across the Wiradjuri, Wongaibon, Barkindji, Wongaibon, Kamilaroi, Muruwari, Latje Latje, Kureinki, Meru, Kureinji, Wailwan, Danggali, Wiljali, Waveroo, Barundji and Barranbinya traditional lands. And the Castlereagh, Talbargah Bell, Bogan, Murrumbidgee, Murray, Darling, Barwon, Culgoa, river systems.
